Kleptocracy Quotes

The eternal governmental prerogative of amorality and fallibility

Piers Anthony

Church and state (and our addiction to them) are co-conspirators in our kleptocracy.

The constitution is nothing more than a piece of paper.

Joachín Balaguer

When the kleptocracy says “freedom” what it means is coercion, compulsion, confiscation …

Stealing and cheating, the national passtime

In Cold Blood

Kleptocracy: the crime that keeps on stealing.

I am as much for government by consent as any man; but where can I find consent?

Oliver Cromwell

In kleptocracy even the churches are built on stolen land.

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Goethe

The kleptocracy trains its scientists to look in the library after the library has been sanitized!

If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don’t have to worry about the answers.

Gravity’s Rainbow

Democracy: rule by the lowest common denominator of kleptocrat: swindlers, thieves, deceivers of all (including self).
But that’s still not good enough: so the alpha kleptocrats cheat on top of that.

We see that not only is the emperor naked — he is a murder, tyrant, brigand, liar, and bungler.

James W. Harris

The Executive is all important in any kleptocracy. Somebody’s got to sign the checks.
(In nature there is no executive.)

No government can rule you absolutely. Yours is always the last option.

Point of Impact

Kleptocracies turn the money tables business-side-up
while Jesus is crucified

and while Jesus remains crucified.

When you got them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow.

Lyndon Baines Johnson

Every time the citizen goes to the Bureaucracy, there’s a different bureaucrat.
Bureaucrat2 has no knowledge of what you said to Bureaucrat1
(and if he does, the Bureaucracy can substitute Bureaucrat3, Bureaucrat4 …)
So only the Bureaucracy’s records count.
Thus false memory erases the citizen’s experience, over and over.

Police and government officials always have contempt for innocence; they are, in some way, offended by an innocent man.

Walter Mosley

No citizen could possibly have been injured as grievously as the state is routinely injured at having such citizens!
(That’s why the state takes judicial compensations for itself.)

I didn’t need to worry about communists though — the police were enough for me.

Walter Mosley

Peace is the temporary interlude between wars in a world of competing kleptocracies.

There is only one rule: the guys who make the rules reserve the right to change the rules without notice.

Gary North

Kleptocracy is the last word in having the last word.

It is the English who think truth is clay to be shaped to our wants.

Owen Parry’s Abel Jones novels
(using the “English” as THE type of kleptocrat)

Kleptocracy: not just government by theft; government by the institutionalization of theft.

Property is theft.

Proudhon

The school’s advertised purpose is to educate. Schools are inefficient and incompetent as well as inappropriate for education. The school’s actual purpose is to domesticate. There the schools shine. A kleptocracy that wants trained sheep for citizens really gets its money’s worth from a school.

You took this land away from whoever had it before you, now I’m taking it away from you.

John Wayne in Red River
(paraphrase)

Kleptocracies destroy communities, then pretend to nurture them.
Ditto the family, God … nature …

A world dominated by a single superpower is a gravely dangerous place.

LewRockwell.com

I am a kleptocrat more stolen from than stealing.

There’s no fair play to be had. This is the government.

A Spectacle of Corruption

Governments are tools of manipulation masked as order.

Men and women will be taught to feel that dishonesty, if it can become splendid, will cease to be abominable.

Anthony Trollope

Meta-klep: not just crime, a layer cake of crime

Governments cannot be trusted with money.

Mises.org

Governments cannot be trusted with anything.

It doesn’t matter how many churches or universities, senates, or departments of justice kleptocrats have: they’re still kleptocrats: biotoxins: the cretin audience for their own illusions.

In kleptocracy

The stronger
the wronger.

I’ve got more pk quotes here than quotes from the rest of the world: help out, submit some. Black & white should be good enough for the balance of pk quotes:

Kleptocracy: where the thieves supervise the victims,
where the thieves discipline those victims still alive.

A state that cheats every step of the way is composed of citizens who were cheating long before there was such a thing as a state.

Like all institutions of kleptocracy, from school to court, the law is designed so that all information is managed: the way stage illusions are managed by the magician. No testimony, no evidence, reaches a jury till it’s been handled, filtered through, maybe tweaked by … why, the magicians’s assistants: the lawyers.

Kleptocrats will look right at you while they’re stealing from you: and see neither you nor their theft.

The cannibals will always fail to recognize the missionary as more advanced. The superstitious will always fail to recognize the scientist, the philosopher. The priest will always fail to recognize the teacher. The church will always punish new messages from God (that is: nature, survival, the universe, science …)
On the other hand, sometimes the cannibals may be right: and the missionary, the teacher … is in error, an exploiter, a kleptocratic imperialist.

The elites serve the common man: serve him truly. Nixon’s silent majority clearly prefers to risk extinction for all of us rather than to face the truth about itself and its relationship to reality: either concrete or abstract.
Church and state (and our addiction to them) are co-conspirators in our kleptocracy.

Facts can’t be established in a kleptocracy
(where nearly any fact may incriminate a sacred cow).

Kleptocracy can operate only by the majority accepting the proxy of stewards.

Kleptocracy is nature’s (expensive but effective) way of ridding the biosphere of too puissant, too fell, too deluded, too parasitic … a predator: give the drunk the whole bottle and he’ll kill himself the sooner.

Kleptocracy: where the illusionists hold the stage even when their illusions suck: fizzle, are transparent.

Kleptocratic society is set up so that those who commit the greatest crimes sit in judgment on those who didn’t.

Philosophers should remember who and what they are: over-abundant predators, over-organized kleptocrats, camouflaged creatures so accustomed to deceptions at every level of endeavor that the liar cannot sort the lies.

Schools give added leverage to a culture’s quotidian repression of awareness so that the kids who’ve killed their gods and their parents and are now playing in their clothes, the inmates who’ve taken over the asylum … won’t be contradicted in their game that they’re the parents, they’re the staff, the nurses, the psychiatrists, the case workers … All of kleptocracy’s institutions have this same cast of pretense. Churches exist so that we can pretend that we’re godly (rather than deicides), governments exist so that the thieves can pretend that they’re lawful (rather than kleptocrats): writing ever new laws until it’s so. So long as no realities are imposed on us (like a smoker getting cancer, disease deniers dying …), the illusion may persist.

Society must not be confused with the species.
Kleptocracy must die.
Long live man.

US: a kleptocracy pretending to be a democracy

Note that “democracy” is a highly elastic, chameleon term:
the definition adjusted by the kleptocrats.

Kleptocracy, as old as the Bible says the world is, has never not bred rats in the treasury.

It’s not that the colonists are intellectually incapable of understanding that they’re cheating the natives of their land and resources: hell, those were real beads they bartered with (real cheap!) (And that “money” we exchange for the diamonds? That’s real paper!) No: their understanding quotient is stunted by kleptocracy, not by brain-genes, it’s their moral intelligence that’s defective.

Similarly, academics thus-far inability to see what I’m trying to show them (about their own fields) isn’t genetic. (Any one of them might have an IQ ten, twenty … points higher than my own.) Ditto the public. It’s cultural!

Any kleptocracy is a heaven for hypocrites.
Or would that be true of any human society?

An anarchist (like me) can’t get a fair trial in the US.
An anarchist can’t get a fair trial in any kleptocracy.
Man, that’s some oxymoron: fair trial!

Armed with its own bookkeeping — its own version of events, the kleptocracy is invulverable: until it falls on its face. Then anyone may say anything about it: even correct one or two lies.
Still, ten thousand lies remain for any one correction.

Kleptocracy depends on those unqualified to judge agreeing to do the judging,
on those unqualified to keep records keeping the records,
teach teaching,
vote voting,
think thinking …
No kleptocracy can afford free speech until the free speakers have effectively been silenced. Then it must trumpet Free Speech to all the tongue tied.

Civilization can’t be saved from kleptocracy so long as civilization’s institutions are run by the kleptocrats: or, so long as the common man, woman, and child imagines that lies will butter their bread thicker than straight reckoning.

Kleptocracy and jail go together like stink and shit.

What could be more ludicrous than kleptocrats pretending they hold the moral high ground?

Kleptocrats have no shame.

Civilization, kleptocracy are undeterable: we firmly stomp the accelerator for destruction.
Kleptocracy can work best for Homo sapiens [making some of us rich before all of us die (and a good part of the bulk of the biosphere as well)] only if we’re not too sapient.

Our institutions will serve kleptocracy best if its functionaries are none too self-aware. That’s why kleptocracy (aka: civilization) will always jail, torture, murder its Socrates, its Jesus, its Galileo — if not in the name of the church then in the name of the state.

Homo sapiens may be considered moral so long as it is the kleptocrats who set the standard of what is moral; not the kleptocracy’s victims.

Kleptocrats love the law in quite the same way — and to the same extent — and for the same reasons as the magician loves his trick deck.

Kleptocrats control what the schools say evolution is; but not what evolution actually is.

Kleptocracy’s function is to preempt facts with falsehoods.

… Kleptocrats telling others what to do: making a ritual display of their false credentials.

White people steal by being too stupid, too ignorant, to see, to understand, what they’re doing. But so too, given the chance, would be black people, or green, or orange, or purple.

To get along in a kleptocracy you have to pretend that you live among law-abiding folk, whom God forgives: indeed you have to pretend – nay, it’s best to believe – that they are Right!

Language is like kleptocracy: it can’t imagine not being in charge.

Trusting a kleptocracy’s records is like believing the Temple’s testimony on the crucifixion.

Judicial Compensations
The guy mugs you, the cops catch the guy, the court convicts. Even in such a case the government pockets the fine. I am reminded of the anesthesiologist in the surgery addicted to the anesthesia. Once the patient was out, the nurse gave herself all the additional doses the surgeon directed be given to the patient.

About pk

Seems to me that some modicum of honesty is requisite to intelligence. If we look in the mirror and see not kleptocrats but Christians, we’re still in the same old trouble.
