Block Incrimination

All institutions share a few purposes in common. One is to aid the host kleptocracy in protecting itself from incriminating evidence. Thus a church which purports to represent communications with God will instinctively block all evidence of failure (or betrayal) at that role. A fake democracy will keep no records of its failures to listen to the public. A school will lose all evidence, bury all testimony, that skills, ideas, information, facts are edited there. The FBI lab continues to receive funding, proof that it’s not a lab but a front for falsification lost.

Last evening my beloved and I watched a DVD of the John LeCarré story The Constant Gardener: Britain, the UN, big Pharm tag team the public to pretend that a killer drug is safe by ramming fake results up the public: as mass graves in Africa go unreported. Such people can’t have science, such people don’t deserve science, such people have no right to be surprised that there is no science.

“Unreported”: there’s a theme: and underreported. The US kills 4,000,000 in Vietnam over a couple of decakes while admitting that a few got killed, by accident, of course, despite our best intentions. Thirty years later 1,000,000 are admitted to: as though we’d admitted it all along! No we didn’t; we wouldn’t have admitted to 100,000: billions in bombs dropped, but no casualties.

About pk

Seems to me that some modicum of honesty is requisite to intelligence. If we look in the mirror and see not kleptocrats but Christians, we’re still in the same old trouble.
