There Is No

There is no God, but what we make of it.

There is no Christ, but what we make of it.

There is no reason, but what we make of it.

There’s life: we didn’t make that. We can make new life. Maybe we can end life: locally anyhow. But we can’t make life, not the first life. The first life may well have happened way before we also happened.

There is no lots of things, but what we make of it.
There is no democracy but what we make of it, no freedom, no conviviality.

There may be intelligence: no matter what we make of it.

About pk

Seems to me that some modicum of honesty is requisite to intelligence. If we look in the mirror and see not kleptocrats but Christians, we’re still in the same old trouble.
