Unemployable

When I was a kid I had jobs galore, money coming out of my ears. I earned vastly more than I spent.
Through college, if I wanted a job, I asked for it: and I got it.
Time and again I was assured, as was anyone who wanted to listen, that I was the best employee, the best, this, the best that. A high school boss told me to write my own recommendation, he’d sign it.

That all changed: first with Columbia, then with the army, and, and thereafter, with graduate school, with college English teaching … and finally, with my founding the Free Learning Exchange.

I’ll bring time back here to fill in details. For now I just list recent categories:
Sebring Public Library
SFCC
Highland Wheel
Circle K
Highlands Hammock State Park
Highlands Senior Center
YMCA

My many enemies won’t even let me earn the $15 a week I was getting from the Y for initiating line dancing classes.
And now the state has discontinued my food stamps. The bureaucracy has found another delay. Communication with the bureaucracy is impossible (for a revolutionary like me) except on the bureaucracy’s own terms.

In Shavian terms, the Philistine majority have trouble with the Idealist minority, but absolutely can’t abide the rare realist: especially not the one who would know how to fix things if given a chance.

This post relates to my recent Crime Report: as both relate to much else here. In other words: societies commit crimes by the minute, but trying to report them is more likely to get you tarred and feathered than to correct anything. The Nazis want chaos: their way: called order.

About pk

Seems to me that some modicum of honesty is requisite to intelligence. If we look in the mirror and see not kleptocrats but Christians, we’re still in the same old trouble.
