Institution Stories, Personal

Critiquing institutions has been my profession since first allying with Ivan Illich in 1970: that was his specialty, I made it mine. I illustrate points by telling stories from personal experience, but in recent years, since my arrest, since got demolished, censored, I’ve organized such stories not in K.’s Personal section but in K.’s / Teaching / Society / Social Order / Hierarchy vs. Conviviality Stories section: HierCon / Church, / School … / Jail …

Still there are other personal stories to tell which I see as merely personal, as distinct from illustrating basic social pathologies: like cookie cutter cosmology: teachers interrupting geniuses to perpetuate superstition, ignorance. Such I will put here: / Personal / Stories / Institutional : School, Church … Bureaucracy.

In other words: my HierCon stories illustrate principles of decentralization, of deregulation, of deschooling; Personal stories are merely personal: anecdotal, entertaining: tell about pk more than they presume to tell about the world and our society.

About pk

Seems to me that some modicum of honesty is requisite to intelligence. If we look in the mirror and see not kleptocrats but Christians, we’re still in the same old trouble.
