The infinity of gods who do exist is dwarfed by the infinity of gods who don’t exist.
6:30 this morning, 2014 12 30, I woke up with that line in my head. I love it. Had to rush to brew the coffee and crank the Mac so I could write it down.
Or do I have it backwards? Maybe the infinity of gods who do exist dwarfs the infinity of gods who don’t exist.
No, I think, 6:50 AM, as I begin to awaken and review what’s running wild in my head that while one part of the statement may be true, the number of gods who do exist may be infinite, its corollary is nonsense: the number of gods who don’t exist can’t be infinite: there can’t be any infinity of false god generators. There can’t be that is if only human beings generate false divinities. Posit an infinity of false god generators independent of the recency of human theological speculation and then we might have a run for our money.
